Global Census Data

Ocean Biogeographic Information System (OBIS)
OBIS is a web-based provider of global information on marine species, cataloged by their geographic location. A primary component of the Census of Marine Life, this program is the archival storehouse of Census data. As Census field projects investigate the ocean realms, they deposit their research results into the OBIS database. This provides online tools for visualizing relationships among species and their environments.
