SIr David Attenborough reveals the findings of one of the most ambitious scientific studies of our time - the Census of Marine Life.  The documentary [3], part of the BBC's Horizon Series, aired on October 4, 2010 to coincide with the release of the results of the first Census of Marine Life.

Drawing on the sometimes contradictory perspectives of stakeholders, this stirring film by Bailey Pryor reveals an epic story that stretches from the age of sail, to what may become an age of sustainability.

Oceans: A film directed by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud

Headed by renowned French film director and actor Jacques Perrin, Galatee Film Productions, creator of After the Monkey Folk, Microcosmos, Himalaya, and Winged Migrations, is completing a new film about the world's oceans scheduled for release in 2009. The Galatee team has received the support of the Sloan Foundation on behalf of the Census of Marine Life and has been working closely with Census scientists to ensure the scientific accuracy of the film.

The Lumnious Deep is a short animated documentary made by Amy Scott-Murray and Kevin Adams, two final-year Animation students at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art. The film was made with the assistance of Census scientist Dr. Nicola King, a researcher at Aberdeen University's Oceanlab and contributor to the MAR-ECO [7] project.
