Census of Diversity of Abyssal Marine Life (CeDAMar)
CeDAMar is a deep-sea project documenting the species diversity of oceanic abyssal plains. This research increases the understanding of the historical causes and ecological factors regulating biodiversity and global change.

Researchers use a box corer to sample the deepest parts of the ocean floor. (Census of the Diversity of Abyssal Marine Life - CeDAMar. Senckenberg, Germany)
