Mid-Oceanic Ridges

Mid-Atlantic Ridge Ecosystems (MAR-ECO)
MAR-ECO is an international study of the marine animals of the northern mid-Atlantic Ocean, including the processes that control their distribution and community structures in the waters around the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, a huge undersea mountain range. This Census field project increases our understanding of the ocean's dark zone that extends more than 4000 meters below the surface into unexplored territory.
